i’ve always said that looking at someone’s iPod/iTunes is kind of like reading their diary.

mine looks like that of a slightly obsessive compulsive w. a touch of manic disorder & mild dose of gangster.
Can you squeeze me
Into an empty page of your diary

oh & while i’m at it… here’s my weekly.

don’t ask what’s going on in my head.
i don’t even fucking know anymore.

magazines.

i love magazines.
i have estimated that i spend roughly $100 monthly on magazines.
in fact when i moved from my studio in park slope to the current cribbo on avenue D, i had to box up a great deal of my collection & bring them off to my mother’s house in PA. she kinda flipped out on me when she saw the Face & iD collection that started roughly in 1995 at $10 a piece. (right, do the math, $20 a month for 12 months @ 10 years = $2,400… hi this is the real reason i work three jobs. jk)

at any rate there are standards:
- iD (r.i.p. TheFace)
- the tabloids (star, usWeekly, inTouch – which can all be found hanging in our aparment bathroom & help me get thru my 30 minute bike regimen at the gym)
- new york magazine (newer obsession)
- TimeOutNY when i feel like i’m not taking advantage of living in the center of the universe & i really should go check out the Anglomania show at the Met.
- British Vogue and/or British Elle

- anything w. Kate Moss speaking of kate & her british vogue covers…. ps. these two are my favorites of all time:
this one was ridiculous. the aladdin sane photo shoot w. kate moss. craze.

and this is my most favorite picture of her. i love when nick knight shoots her.

- big – a magazine that is quarterly that costs $25. yes i paid $25 for a recent issue that has only pictures of Lauren Hutton. it’s amazing though. she’s such an icon. love her.
- lula – which mainly i bought because i couldn’t resist the Lolita-ness of the cover or the Ellen VonUnwerth spread. i think i spent $20 on this one as well. lula xo

yeah. so anyway. magazines.

i prefer the black diamond on white ceramic.

even the red diamond on black is sick.
