photobooth love-chicago nov21st

1 outta 4 ain’t bad

I was obsessed with the photobooth as a medium ever since i found “Andy Warhol’s Photobooth Pictures,” a book of photobooth strips from a gallery show @ Robert Miller in 1985. I later was given this book from Swan Gallery when I was working as Director of Digital Photography there. Turns out the book they gave me on the sly from a group lot in an auction is worth almost a grand. Lucky me.

i used to go to Little Rickie’s on 1st avenue when i was going to Parsons in ‘95 when they had all these rad backgrounds you could clip up in the back of your pictures. I just looked up Little Rickies & found out it was @ 49 1/2 First Avenue @ 3rd Street. Which I think is that coffee place around the corner from Rika’s now. I also used to make one strip after every shift when i worked at Remote Lounge in ‘02-’03. I once thought of putting them all on a wall but they’re mostly all just self portraits of me & i thought they may look a tad narcissistic.

he was a sweet & tender hooligan, hooligan

this is what a concert ticket looks like nowadays… kinda lame to not have a stub.

i got closer to the stage by looking timid & saying “excuse me sorry, pardon me, sorry i can’t find my boyfriend…”

they’re super pixelated due to super zoom on digi

and i thought they were quite good

untill i saw patrick o’dell’s on his site

i know this sounds super fan out, but i really like some of his work

and this is what i look like in all my post-mozzer glow:

next time i want to see him in mexico.
or manchester.
either one will do.

set list:
