trombone means paper clip in french

went to babysit my favourite little monkeys last month and they had this little guy with them

his name is trombone and that apparently in french means “paper clip.” I asked them what paper clip was in spanish & they just laughed at me & said something i couldn’t understand. remember they’re smarter than you or I, they speak french, spanish, and english.

gia is such a ham. seriously could this kid get any cuter?

superman that… just kidding.

this is Thais, the 8 year old older sister to Gia’s, “make up” table.

*ps. notice the polaroid in the mirror is of her & i. besties. no bigs.

as I mentioned before I’ve been babysitting Thais(pronounced “tie-ees,” it’s brazilian) since she was Gia’s age. Been going thru some early digital archives I have backed up on disc and found this little gem:

that’s Thais in 2004. Age 3. we were headed from Nolita to the Chelsea waterpark for a play date w. her friend Jasper, another little frenchie.

that’s Jasper there on the right. He’s now 8 years old w. a baby brother named Charlie who’s 3.

i’m meeting Jasper & Charlie next week to possibly become their babysitter. maybe they can help me brush up on my french so i can surprise Thais & Gia next time i see them.
